Family Night at Build-A-Bear

Thank you Uncle Val and Aunt Dorothy for the generous gift card to Build-A-Bear. Ana was in heaven as she chose her bear and all its accessories. "Pink" will be a most beloved and treasured toy.

Happy Scout

Scout (Katie's 5-month-old) is the smiley-est baby ever. She just gazes at you until she catches your eye, then she gives you the biggest grin. You can't help but fall in love with her.

Ana & Lincoln at the Mall

It's been so cold here that the mall is a great place for the kids to get some exercise. Katie got some exercise too, chasing Lincoln in and out of the Motherhood maternity store. :)

Bye Bye Port-a-Crib

Ana got a "big girl bed" this week. She loves having more room for all her baby dolls and books. Though we moved all of Meili's bedroom stuff downstairs months ago, she's not quite ready to move herself yet. And I admit, I'm not ready for her to be that far away either. So, the girls are sleeping together upstairs. Here's a look at their shared room, which is now in need of a new paint color!

The kids had the day off on Friday, and Meili begged to go to Kneaders for their all-you-can-eat french toast! We braved snowy roads and frigid temperatures to get to Provo, but it was all worth it. Eliah had a great time, contrary to his bored expressions.

Eliah's got his eye on the prize as he attempts to repeat his victory over the Zelda GameCube game. It took him a year to do it the first time. Ana's got to be wondering, "What's the big deal?"

My couch has an electrical attraction to Ana's hair! This reminds me of the morning she woke up with unruly hair. She brushed it out of her face and said, "My hairs is all crazy!"

The Holidays Must be Over

While Ana was napping the other day, I took down some holiday decorations, including the Christmas tree. It felt good to get at least my living room back in order. Ana woke up and groggily staggered out of her room. She stopped in the living room and looked at the vacant spot for a few seconds. Then she turned to me and asked in a darling, pitiful voice, "Where's the Merry Christmas tree?"
