Trashing the Carpet

We let the kids take permanent markers to the family room carpet on the night of the Fourth before we left for fireworks at Steve's house. Daryl pulled the carpet up later in order to install much needed new flooring. Abbie and Adam are the extra kids in the picture. We loved their visit!

Uncle Richard and the Girls

Here's my Uncle Richard with Ana, a couple of his grand-daughters, and my cousin Becca's daughter on the Fourth of July. The family had a big party in Salt Lake at his and Aunt Susan's place. It was so much fun! Thank you!

Scenes from Old Roseville

Just playing around with Steve's pictures. Here are a couple from around the old part of my hometown. First pic is the bull on Vernon Street. Second is the Placer TV & Video goldminer mascot down the street. This was where we first rented videos back in the day. I used this posting to show Stephen how easy and fun it is to blog.

Pretty Girl

Ana modeling her Sunday dress. She loves going to the Church nursery. I couldn't decide which picture to post, so I chose all of them. Meili took these pictures. Cute, huh?

Geocaching Cousins

Ben and Eliah spent yesterday morning using Daryl's GPS to find hidden treasures around Mapleton. Ben found one at the junior high school that we had all just about given up on.

Morning Madness

Robynn's visiting with her family (minus Dave). We met for breakfast this morning with my kids, her kids, Katie's kids and Robynn's sister Kristin's kids. Here's a picture of all of them! From left: Gavin, Brooke, Lauren, Emily, Meili, Scout, Ana, Eliah, Noah, Ben, Jake, and Lincoln.

Playing with Her Souvenirs

Ana got some little woodland creatures from a gift shop in Yosemite. She spent our last day in California feeding them grass out on Grandpa's patio.

Down in Yosemite Valley

Melissa and I had a good time relaxing by the river.

Our last stop--Yosemite Falls. Eliah's not pictured because he was playing near the river with his cousins.

View from Glacier Point

Here's the famous Half Dome and us proving we were there. (Notice who's the only one wearing her bear whistle.)

Sequoia Grove

We all hiked to this location. Those trees are really giant! They look like something out of a movie.

Wawona

Outside our family's little cabin. Robynn described the interior best when she said it was very "East L. A."

Eliah took this picture of us enjoying the little pool by our cabin. We did a lot of rock-skipping there. Eliah is the champion, with a throw that skipped eight times. Amazing!

Daniel, Abbie, Meili and Eliah posing in front of a fallen Sequoia.

Back From Yosemite

Just got back from a fun family trip to California and Yosemite National Park. We've got some great pictures to share, but they're on Daryl's laptop. Maybe I'll get at them tonight. We're all doing well and looking forward to more fun summer days as the cousins start heading our direction.

A New Look

Trying a brighter template for our blog this summer. I thought a change was in order. Meili is at girls camp with our only digital camera. Hope to post her pictures soon. Eliah babysat Ana tonight and tucked her in. She was all settled when Daryl and I got home. Ya is such a great help.

Bathing Beauties

Scout got a hold of my drivers license and wouldn't let go.

Fun at the Water Park

Ana had a great time with Lincoln and Scout at Seven Peaks Water Park. Meili and Eliah were there too, but I never saw them again once they parked their towels. I'm still sore from catching Ana off all the kiddie water slides! See Chase Family blog for a few more pictures from this day.
